If you plan to store the leftovers, just pour the detox smoothie into mason jars with matching lids to seal tight.

One note about the celery if you are not a celery person, I would not add this in.

The other flavors of the smoothie will come through much stronger than the cucumber.

I love that this smoothie uses no liquid, that helps make it even more thick.

Its a great example of how to make a smoothie without milk!

The liquid from the cucumber and pineapple gave it enough juice to blend without adding any additional water or other liquid.

For even more punch, add in some baby spinach.

You wont even notice it!

This particular smoothie is called Allergies Be Gone in her book. Tess the author says Parsley is brilliant for alleviating inflammation, asthma and airborne allergies. This blends mineral salts neutralizes acids, purifies blood, cleanses skin, detoxifies tissues and organs, assists with elimination of heavy metals, flushes out kidneys and aids in urinary tract health.

How To Make This Recipe

Peel the skin of the cucumber and chop/slice it. Chop the pineapple pieces and apple. Peel the skin of ginger.

Now add them one by one to the blender and blend them to prepare your smoothie. I used Blendtec blender in smoothie mode.

Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy it immediately to get the best out of all the ingredients!

Recipe Tips & Substitutions

  • You can easily double or triple this recipe for more servings.
  • Fresh juice is best served right after its made. But, it can be stored in a covered container or large pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  • You can peel the cucumber if you want to, but you dont have to. You can also use two Persian cucumbers instead of an English cucumber, if you wish.
  • Feel free to get creative with this recipe! You can also add mint leaves or use lime juice instead of lemon juice. Bell peppers also pair nicely with this recipe, although they will change the color of the juice.

Cut off the pineapples top and bottom ends and use a sharp knife to peel its skin. Theres no need to discard the pineapple core as it also contains juice and nutrients.

Cut pineapple and cucumber into medium chunks. Then run the pieces through a juicer and collect the liquid in a large pitcher.

Next, add lemon juice and sugar, and stir until the sugar dissolves.

Fill your glasses with ice cubes and pour in the pineapple cucumber juice.

Serve it garnished with fresh pineapple and mint leaves, and enjoy a cold, refreshing beverage.

With a few tweaks, you can achieve a pineapple juice with no added sugar or a basic cocktail using vodka.

There are so many ways you can change up this recipe to customize it to your taste.

  • Fruit: swap the pineapple for mango and kiwi or papaya and orange.
  • Greens: as I already mentioned, any greens will work in this recipe. A mix of greens is great too. If you are out of fresh greens, you can substitute them for powdered.
  • Liquid: plant milks work the best almond, cashew, oat Another great option is coconut water although it will make the smoothie a little bit thinner. Orange juice gives the smoothie a citrusy kick, but I am not a fan of all the added sugar. Plain water dilutes the flavor of the smoothie.
  • Add-ins: protein powder or hemp seeds , chia seeds or ground flax seeds .
