The SMG managed complex has a total of seven parking garages for public parking and two surface lots, which can accommodate approximately 7,000 vehicles. The parking garages and surface lots are adjacent to the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and the Smoothie King Center. The public parking garages are designated #1, #1A, #2, #2A, #5, #6 and Champions Garage. Thesurface lots are designated as Lot 3 and Lot 4.
Note that all parking facilities may not be available for every event.
Re-entry and overnight parking are prohibited. Solicitations of any type as well as unauthorized tailgating are strictly prohibited. Vehicles of any kind parked illegally or in restricted areas are subject to tagging and towing without notice.

Smoothie King Center With Seat Numbers
The standard sports stadium is set up so that seat number 1 is closer to the preceding section. For example seat 1 in section 5 would be on the aisle next to section 4 and the highest seat number in section 5 would be on the aisle next to section 6. For theaters and amphitheaters seat numbers follow a different logic. Instead the lower numbered seats are typically closer to the center of the stage while higher seat numbers are further from the center of the stage.

Parking At Smoothie King Center
Parking is ample around Smoothie King Center, which utilizes the structures surrounding the Superdome for much of its inventory. The Champions Garage off Girod Street is the closest structure to the arena, with several small surface lots just across the street.
Rates for parking at Smoothie King Center events begins at $20 for the Champions Garage, and usually is more for Pelicans games.
Metered parking is available on the streets between Smoothie King Center and the Central Business District, and many experienced fans will head into town early, feed the meters until 6 p.m. when enforcement stops, and then walk the handful of blocks to the arena.

New Orleans Pelicans Announce Increased Capacity At Smoothie King Center
The New Orleans Pelicans will increase capacity to 2,700 fans beginning Wednesday, February 24 when the team hosts the Detroit Pistons at the Smoothie King Center.
Following the same health and safety procedures that earned the New Orleans Saints the best overall safety and security procedures in the NFL in 2020, the Pelicans remain in constant communication with city and state public health officials, Ochsner Health and the NBA regarding the importance of adhering to health and safety measures while the team increases the seating capacity.
The health and safety of fans, players, coaches and staff will always be the organizations first priority.
In accordance with local and state government officials and public health experts, the Pelicans will continue to follow the best practices and protocols that will allow fans a safe and enjoyable experience at the Smoothie King Center. As proper health and safety protocols remain in practice, the goal will be to increase capacity just beyond 4,000. This number will be determined in conjunction with city and state officials and will represent the most allowed currently by CDC requirements.

Eric Clapton has broken his vow to not play venues with a vaccine mandate, taking to the stage at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans on Saturday .
In July, the 76-year-old musician that he would not perform on any stage where there is a discriminated audience present in response to UK Prime Minister Boris Johnsons announcement at the time that COVID-19 vaccine passports would be mandatory for entry to the countrys venues .
Clapton effectively undid his stance when he played the Smoothie King Center, which required ticket purchasers, staff and participants to submit a negative test taken within 72 hours or show proof that theyve had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. These stipulations fall in line with New Orleans government regulations.
Furthermore, audiences had to mask up during the show and refrain from eating or drinking.
Clapton has voiced his discontent with COVID-19 safety measures several times during the pandemic, all while being vaccinated himself. In November 2020, he teamed with Van Morrison on the anti-lockdown songs Stand And Deliver and The Rebels.

The first European explorers to visit Louisiana came in 1528 when a Spanish expedition led by located the mouth of the Mississippi River. 2021 Covid-19 Updates
The City of New Orleans has implemented new rules and regulations for sports and entertainment venues, indoor facilities and large social gatherings. These rules allow for full capacity on game day. We must comply with those regulations to safely return to full capacity for the first time in more than a year and a half. Working together, we can continue to keep our community safe.
NEW NBA Mask Mandate
As of December 17, 2021, the NBA has temporarily reinstated their mask requirement for all guests seated within 15 feet of the court or benches. If youre sitting in the heart of the action, this policy extends to your seats. This temporary mandate goes into effect with the December 17th game and will remain in place until conditions improve. Youll be asked to wear your mask upon entering the seating bowl, and to only remove it when actively eating or drinking.
