Lala Yogurt Smoothies: For Your On

Tuesday, September 20, 2016 by Lolli

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of LALA Yogurt Smooothies. The opinions and text are all mine.

Im a mom of five kids, which by definition means that I am always busy, always on the go, and rarely sitting still except when the kids are at school and Im working at my computer.

I love being active. I love that my kids are involved in sports and clubs and activities with friends. But it sure does amount to a lot of running around.

Its pretty common for me to grab something for breakfast as were heading out the door for school drop off. I also frequently have to slurp down some dinner in between afternoon and evening drop offs and pick-ups.

Luckily, meals and snacks on the go dont have to be blah, boring or bad for me. My new favorite on-the-go breakfast and afternoon snack is LALA Yogurt Smoothies. They couldnt be more convenient OR more delicious. And since you drink LALA Yogurt Smoothies, theyre a great way to get nutrition on the go.without having to slow down.

I tried a few flavors but my favorite so far has been the tropical mango yogurt smoothie. Which of LALAs flavors are you most excited to try? There are SO many delicious flavors!

  • Creamy coconut yogurt smoothie
  • Strawberry banana cereal yogurt smoothie
  • Pecan cereal yogurt smoothie

About This Pina Colada Smoothie Recipe

The first smoothie recipe of the Summer Smoothies series is this Pina Colada Smoothie. If you are a lover of the famous Puerto Rican cocktail, you will love this smoothie version. This used to be my go-to smoothie back while we were living in the Caribbean.

As it is in the signature cocktail, the two main ingredients are pineapple and coconut milk. However, as I was trying to keep things on the healthier side, instead of the sweetened canned stuff I used freshly cut pineapple and unsweetened coconut milk . To sweeten my smoothie, I used a few pitted Medjool dates, which I find to be the best sweetener for smoothies.

If I have time to plan ahead, I like to buy a big pineapple, cut it into big chunks, place them in plastic bags and freeze to use in smoothies. I find that having them readily cut into smaller pieces makes it so much easier and quicker. It also eliminates the need to use additional ice.

However, if you only have fresh pineapple feel free to add in some ice to make it cold and refreshing. As long as you are not using the canned pineapple, you should be fine.
