Daily Harvest Chia Parfaits Review
I was pleasantly surprised by the chia parfaits. I have made chia pudding on my own but didnt really like it. The Chocolate Protein + Banana was really yummy and filling.
I divided it in half and had it for breakfast for two days. I havent tried the other flavor but Im looking forward to trying it soon!

Daily Harvest Overnight Oat Reviews
So far the only Daily Harvest overnight oats that Ive tried are the Mulberry + Dragon Fruit. It was really tasty, and super simple to make.
You just need to add almond milk the night before you want to enjoy them, shake it up + heat in the morning!
Overnight oats are very simple to make on your own so I dont regularly add these to my subscription.
Instead I opt for things I cant make at home as easily like the smoothies/lattes.

When/who Do I Think Daily Harvest Is Perfect For
If you’re looking for a meal delivery service to help in a weight loss journey, I think Daily Harvest is a great solution. The meals are pre-portioned and balanced.
Meaning you can get your fats, proteins, and carb fix. I’ve found in my own health journey that when I eat a balanced diet, I end up not craving sweets since I’m getting my needs met otherwise.
Furthermore, Daily Harvest focuses on organic whole ingredients, which are always going to help in any weight loss journey over processed packaged foods full of empty calories and fillers. For instance, their flatbread pizza is made with Cassava flour which is a root vegetable packing WAY more nutritional value over a frozen pizza with a chemically coated white flour that just turns to sugar in you.
Second, I think Daily Harvest is great for pregnancy and new moms who need extra calories/meals to keep up with a growing baby. These are the perfect little addition to grab a healthy option over say like chips? I know when I’m tired is when I tend to order out more or eat junk, so having these on hand can be REALLY helpful during those transitional times in our lives where we may feel a little more tired and stressed.
How Does It Work And Is Daily Harvest Worth The Money
When you sign up for Daily Harvest you choose between weekly or monthly delivery. Currently the weekly delivery gives you options for 9, 14, or 24 items. The monthly delivery comes with 24 items.
Depending on what you get in your box can vary the price of each box you get. Also depending on the number of items changes the price per item a touch. For example, you get $10 off when ordering 14 items, and $20 off when ordering 24 items this bulk discount can bring the price of some items from $7.99 to $7.49 and so on.
All items are priced between $5.99 to $8.99.
When you compare purchasing these items through Daily Harvest versus a local organic juice shop or shopping at Whole Foods, I’ve found that pricing is either on par or cheaper through Daily Harvest with the added bonus of not having to spend time/gas money to pick the food up.

Carrot + Cinnamon Smoothie
This was a SHOCKING winner! If you want some fall vibes in your life, this is the smoothie for you!
It literally does taste like carrot cake. Maybe because I went in with the lowest expectations I was most pleasantly surprised? I’d never had a smoothie with sweet potato or carrots before and it did not disappoint! My daughter loved it too!
Daily Harvest Scoops Review
I was super impressed with the Daily Harvest Scoops! Theyre healthier, plant based ice cream made from real food ingredients.
The scoops come in 5 different flavors: Salted Caramel, MintChip, Midnight Fudge, Black Sesame and Berry Compote. Theyre all really rich and delicious. My favorites are the midnight fudge and berry!

Anyone else love milkshakes as much as I do? Im asking because Ive made you one that tastes EXACTLY like that delicious minty chocolate chip one from you know where .
I will let you in on a little secret: Tony is OBSESSED with McDonalds I cant get him to stop eating it. In fact, I think he eats quite a bit of it when Im not around. Quite disturbing for someone who runs a health-focused food blog, right?!
I guess opposites really do attract? Or something like that anyway haha.
But now I have to tell you my own little secret: Sometimes I cant blame him because OMG have you EVER had their milkshakes or ice cream? Honestly, SO good. Lee and I talk about how we love fast food ice cream all the time. #weakness
Im not saying you should swing through the drive-thru or anything, but every once in a while a creamy-dreamy ice cream cone from Mickey Ds is DEELISH. And if you were anything like me as a kid, you may have eaten there quite a few times . It was kind of like a little tradition I used to have with my Dad on Sunday afternoons.
My Daily Harvest Review
All in all, I think its clear that I highly recommend Daily Harvest to anyone looking for easy and nutritious meal options to have on hand. I particularly love how easy it is to customize a plan that works for YOU. You could order a smoothie for breakfast, a bowl for lunch, and a flatbread for dinner multiple times a week every week. OR you could sneak those in every once in a while when youre busy so getting something healthy to eat is not a stressful task on your to do list.
I also love that it gives me new ideas for flavor combinations and introduces me to new ingredients, yet I can still add my own flare to each meal. Whether its just adding protein powder to a smoothie or crisping up marinated tofu to add to a bowl, you can choose to be creative with it or just eat it as is!
If this sounds interesting to you, you can and use code LAKESHORELADY for up to $40 off!

Daily Harvest Latte Reviews
I LOVE the Daily Harvest Lattes. They make me feel like Im drinking a fancy coffee shop latte from the convenience of my own home.
They take about 2 minutes to make, and are really delicious. My favorite is the chaga + chocolate but I also love the ginger + turmeric.
Something to note with the lattes, in each cup you get 3 individual single serving pods. So youre really getting 3 drinks out of one cup.
Acai + Cherry Smoothie
This is one of their best selling smoothies but I didn’t love it. That’s a personal bias though I’m not a big tart berry smoothie person and this was definitely heavier on the cherry than the acai. It tasted like a purple popsicle. Personally I preferred the Vejo tart berry smoothie over this.
It wasn’t bad, it was just disappointing considering it’s a best seller. I actually preferred Vejo’s Tart Berry smoothie over this one.

What Is Daily Harvest
Ok lets back up for a second. What are we talking about again? Well, if youve never heard of Daily Harvest, they deliver plant based chef-crafted foods right to your door that can be ready to eat in mere minutes. They started by providing pre-packaged frozen smoothie ingredients that only require a liquid of your choice and a blender. Since then, they have expanded to include more breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack options. Their goal is to make healthy eating easy and delicious with over 80 vegan and gluten-free options to choose from. I also love that they care about their environmental impact, too. The delivery box, dry ice bags, cups, and bowls are all either recyclable or compostable!
When you sign up for Daily Harvest, you can choose to receive either 9, 12 or 24 items weekly or 24 items monthly. I particularly like that there isnt a set menu, and you dont need to choose a specific amount from each category. So if you prefer a mix of smoothies and harvest bowls, thats great for you! But if someone else prefers oat bowls and soups, they can do that, too.
Here is the full list of categories they offer:

Daily Harvest Soups Review
I love the Tomato + Zucchini Minestrone Soup. Its full of flavor + so yummy! However, similar to the harvest bowls I find that their soups arent very filling for me.
I really like hearty soups packed with protein, and while I love that these are veggie loaded they dont fill me up for a complete meal.

What Are The Ingredients In This Cacao Nib Green Smoothie
Bananas: Make sure yours are frozen for the ultimate creamy and sweet smoothie. I like to get my bananas extra ripe, then peel them and stick them in plastic bags. You can also slice them before freezing if thats easier for you!
Spinach: This is called a green smoothie for a reason! Each serving packs delicious green spinach, except guess what? It doesnt taste like spinach at all. Yep, get your greens in without actually tasting them. Its the best, really.
Almond milk: Were keepin it dairy free. I enjoy almond milk for so many reasons, especially for the nutritional benefits and vitamins. Plus youll notice that almond milk has less sugar and carbs then dairy milk. All wins.
Protein powder: I usually use a good vanilla whey protein powder, but you can use a plant based one too! Chocolate would be delicious FOR SURE.
Mint leaves: This is what gives the smoothie that minty flavor we all love. If you dont have mint leaves, you can sub 1/8-1/4 teaspoon of mint extract. Trust me, you wont need any more than that!
Cacao nibs: I recently picked up some nibs at the grocery store and have been completely in love with them ever since. They have a deep, roasted flavor and are considered to be natures chocolate chips because they are made from pure cacao beans. They are an excellent source of antioxidants, fiber and iron. Oh and did you know that they are actually one of natures richest dietary sources of magnesium?

Sweet Potato + Wild Rice Hash Bowl
This is really good too! It’s something I’ll 100% make from scratch at home so it’s a larger portion for the family. I loved that it was ready in 5 minutes, with no clean up! The flavor is exactly what you’d expect with a tomato based sauce. The avocado bits in it offered a hint of lime and a sweetness that brought the whole bowl together! I really enjoyed this. The serving size was great too! It kept me full for the night, even after sharing it with my toddler.
