There are so many things I love about Britain the BBC, rainy days, the architecture, Prêt à Manger, the mind the gap voice on the Tube, Primark but the thing I missed the most when I moved back to Canada after two years in London was without a doubt Soap & Glory, the cheeky body care brand with the pretty pink packaging.
In one of my post years ago , I wrote: Soap & Glory is probably my favourite brand. Ever. Its still true! In my Cumberbatch-loving humble opinion, Soap & Glory is one of the best British export since BBC Sherlock!

Happy weekend and I hope this week has been quite productive for you. Ive been wanting to do a review of these Soap & Glory products since they came in but I decided to try it out for a few months you know, in order to be able to write something worth the review. Before i received them, I had just seen a review of a Soap & Glory product on one of the blogs I follow and my first thoughts were, Oh nice packaging. Lol. I have a thing for pink though.
Soap & Glory Rich and Foamous body wash is cream in color and composition. Kind of reminds me of salad creme. *Side Eyes*
Its super creamy and smoothing. It lathers moderately, cleans well and leaves your body smelling all nice. Its that kind of wash that moisturizes while cleansing and it seems to me it also has anti-inflammatory properties. I used it a few times on my face and each time I did, It actually soothed my face you know that feeling of relief your skin gets from using harsh chemicals? A con for me is that its not a wash you can use on your face consistently if you are acne prone. Because of all the oils in it, it can leave you face with some heavy pimples so I stay away from using it except of course I feel my face is inflamed.
Some of its popular ingredients are water, Rapeseed Oil, Citric acid, Grapeseed oil, Oat, parfum , lactic acid, sweet almond oil, caramel and Honey. Lest I forget, it also tastes sweet so you might wanna keep away from little children.

Soap And Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub
Soap and Glorys award-winning body exfoliator, the Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub, gently polishes skin thanks to its skin-smoothing blend of sea salt, golden sugar, oatmeal grains, and hydrated silica.
All of these ingredients exfoliate the skin, which means they remove dead skin cells from the stratum corneum . So why is this important? This Soap and Glory face wash has a rich, milky texture that can be used to remove makeup and cleanse the skin.
Most of the formula consists of synthetic emollients , silicones , and jojoba seed oil. These ingredients help to melt away makeup and excess oil, allowing them to be washed away.
Unfortunately, theres quite a high concentration of fragrance in this formula, which could lead to skin sensitivity.
Bottom Line: A cleanser with a rich, milky texture that can remove makeup and cleanse the skin, but we dont recommend it due to the fragrance in the formula.

Soap And Glory Smoothie Star Body Butter Cream
Hey lovely people, yes I know I have another Soap and Glory product to tell you all about. Trust me though, you will want to know abou this body butter.
I have never really used body butter till this winter. My skin has never really needed it for me to look in to it. I also thought they would be really rich and greasy. This winter though, my skin really does need it so I decided to try this one from Soap and Glory.
First of all I need to tell you the Smoothie Star Lightly Whipped Buttercream not only sounds like a yummy dessert but it also smells like one too. It has in it 5 essential oils along with Vanilla, Coconut as well as pistachios and almonds. The sent last the rest of the day too which leaves you feeling very fresh for a very long time.
Like I said I expected the body butter to be heavy, greasy and too much on my skin. How wrong was I! The cream is rich which is what you want from a body butter but it is not greasy in the slightest. As soon as it is rubbed in to your skin, it is absorbed straight away. This is one of the reasons why I like it because I can put my clothes straight away which you cant do with many moisturisers never mind body butters.
It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth so you know it is doing its job properly and hydrating your skin. It is a light rich bodycream so you can always use more if you want too. I make sure I apply loads on the places that are extremely dry.

Just had to share one of my new favorite products by Soap & Glory today. Yall know Im obsessed with body scrubs since being preggo, and when I heard that one of my favorite body care brands was coming out with a new scrub, you bet your bottom dollar I had to scoop it up.

If youve never tried Soap & Glory bath and body products, they are decadent and delicious. This scrub contains an exfoliating blend of oats, sugar, and sea salt to smooth the skin 100% natural cupuacu scrub for moisture, radiance and elasticity shea butter, glycerin and sweet almond oil for moisturizing and honey and banana extracts for a delicious scent. Really with all of those delicious ingredients, what Im smelling is brown sugar for some reason. But trust me, Im not complaining! Its divine.
I love to use this before shaving in the shower and all over my growing belly. It will set you back $25 and is available at Sephora beginning in June 2014. I dont see it online, so you might have better luck in store!

Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash Review
The Sugar Crush body wash is the perfect addition to a morning shower thanks to its invigorating fresh scent. Though the scent is not exactly my cup of tea, the shower gel itself does exactly what it should do and more. Plus, it comes in a bottle with a pump dispenser . Its a thin and creamy body wash that lathers up well and rinses off easily, without being especially drying.
I tend to avoid fragranced body washes like this one, but Ive almost finished up the bottle and I havent developed a painful rash yet, so I feel pretty confident saying that this particular one works for me. Id still pick up the wonderful Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter over this one , but if you love fresh scents, the Sugar Crush body wash might be one to try!
