I love smoothies and I think they can be a quick and delicious breakfast alternative too. What I love most about smoothies is how adaptable they are. You can pack so much nutritional value into a single serving, and still be satisfied for several hours.

Since I have a minor gluten and dairy intolerance, I try to stay away from pretty much all your basic breakfast food items. Which leaves me basically with eggs, fruit, gluten-free oatmeal, meat and this gluten and dairy free smoothie recipe.

I like to rotate these choices around, so that I have plenty of variety. And during the summer, when its hot, the last thing that sounds good is a bowl of hot oatmeal. A typical breakfast for me these days contains a smoothie and 1 or 2 eggs scrambled. This combination fills me up until lunch time, and provides plenty of energy to get things done.

It is literally my go-to snack all throughout the day, every day. Because of this, I have been making everything mixed with a bit of almond butter. Including my milkshakes.

You wont believe how tasty it is! Because, Its like peanut butter ice-cream- without the peanut better and ice-cream. Okay, so use your imagination a bit. But, trust me, its worth it!

Indulgent Chocolate Raspberry Smoothie


This indulgent gluten-free smoothie has the consistency of chocolate pudding! It is smooth and creamy. We love how the raspberry and chocolate flavors dominate while we sneak in other healthy ingredients.

We make this smoothie on Mondays and as a healthier version of a chocolate milkshake. It gives us something to look forward to at the start of the week and hits the spot every time as a healthy dessert!

This is one of my familys favorite gluten and dairy-free smoothies . Its refreshing and packs in tons of antioxidants and vitamins to fuel your mind and body.

The ingredients are:

  • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
  • ¼ cup blueberries, frozen
  • ¼ cup mango, frozen in chunks
  • ½ banana

Hydrating Peach Mango Green Smoothie

As our everyday go-to, this gluten-free smoothie knocks it out of the park! It reminds us of a healthier and more delicious version of one from Jamba Juice. It makes a large smoothie loaded with electrolytes from coconut water, calcium from almond milk, and is perfect hydration for anyone who loves caffeine .

We prefer the Peach Mango version, but strawberries are delicious too .

Peach and mango are refreshing first thing in the morning, and you cant beat a breakfast serving of leafy greens.

I didnt enjoy smoothies until I added ground flaxseed and nut butter. Beforehand, I felt unsatisfied and hungry an hour later. This one is sure to last you through the morning!

Making this breakfast smoothie is so easy, just add everything to the blender and blend.

Prepare the fruits

To start with, first clean and wash all the berries. Use 1 tablespoon of vinegar in 4 cups of water and soak all berries for 2-3 minutes. Drain all the water and now berries are ready to use.

Add in blender

Now add mixed berries, banana, almond milk & chia seeds in a high-speed blender and blend till smooth & creamy texture . Adjust the thickness as per liking. Add more milk if you want a thinner consistency.

Tropical Pineapple Mango Smoothie Ingredients

  • 1 cup spinach

  • Cut bananas into chunks to make blending easier once frozen.
  • Add all ingredients except water and nut butter to a plastic freezer bag.
