Cluck Sandwich With Mystery Sauce Is Back At Jack In The Box
By popular demand, Jack in the Box brings back the Cluck Sandwich with Mystery Sauce just in time for the holiday season.
The Cluck Sandwich features the brands new thick, crispy, juicy chicken fillet topped with two pickles and mystery sauce served on a fresh brioche bun.
This time around, the chain isnt offering the Deluxe version, which also included a 100% all white meat chicken fillet thats bigger, crispier and better than ever before, but topped with thick crinkle cut pickles and signature Mystery Sauce on a toasted brioche bun.
The Cluck Sandwich carries a suggested price of $4.79, although price and participation may vary by location. A combo with fries and a drink is also available, with prices starting at $6.39 .

Jack In The Box Buys Del Taco
Fast-food burger chain Jack in the Box is buying Mexican fast-food chain Del Taco.
Jack in the Box will pay a premium of $12.51 per share in cash to acquire the brand. The total value of the deal is about $575 million, including existing debt.

Jack In The Box Adds Smoothies
SAN DIEGOJack in the Box debuted Real Fruit Smoothies on Monday at restaurants in several markets, primarily on the West Coast.
The San Diego-based quick-service chain is scheduled to complete the national rollout of the new beverages by the end of July. As previously announced, the smoothies are made from a blend of Minute Maid fruit juice and nonfat frozen yogurt in three flavors: Strawberry Banana, Mango and Orange Sunrise.
Recommended prices are $2.99 for a 16-ounce and $3.99 for a 24-ounce serving. Participating restaurants in the first phase of the rollout include those in Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Hawaii and several markets in California, such as Bakersfield, Chico, El Centro, Eureka, Fresno, Monterey, Palm Springs, Redding, Sacramento, Salinas, San Diego and Santa Barbara.
Jack in the Box Inc. operates or franchises more than 2,100 namesake restaurants, as well as more than 400 Qdoba Mexican Grill units.
Oreo Cookie Ice Cream Shake
We said the strawberry ice cream shake was nearly perfect, because that title actually belongs to the Oreo cookie ice cream shake. Though the flavor of the vanilla shake wasn’t quite enough to lift it from the bottom place on this list, tasty chunks of Oreo cookie are a different matter entirely. Cookies ‘n’ cream is the ultimate flavor combination, and whoever decided to skip dunking Oreos in milk by incorporating them directly into a drink was a genius.

El Pollo Loco Franchise Costs Range From $770000 To Nearly $21 Million El Pollo Loco

Total restaurants: 478
Planned unit growth: 100 to 150 over the next five years

El Pollo Loco was a chain in transition before the pandemic.
The former Starbucks executive Bernard Acoca was named the chief executive of the fire-grilled-chicken chain in 2018. He spent the first two years of his tenure investing in talent, branding, and simplifying operations. His next goal was to reboot franchising, but then the pandemic hit.
Plans to grow were stalled as the chain pivoted its operations to cater to off-premises orders. That meant relying more heavily on its drive-thru lanes and its value-oriented healthy chicken meals.
El Pollo Loco’s drive-thru lanes generated 45% of total sales pre-pandemic. That’s well below the average of 70% to 80% for most fast-food chains, Acoca said. But El Pollo Loco’s drive-thru business now accounts for 70% of the company’s sales.
That pandemic lift is “holding steady,” Acoca said.
“What should have taken six months, we managed to test and launch in literally six weeks,” Acoca said of the September rollout of curbside pickup.
Noodles & Company Plans To Open Between 10 And 15 New Restaurants In 2021 Noodles & Company

Noodles & Company is a fast-casual pasta chain with locations in 29 states that’s turning to franchisees to enter new markets, especially in the South and Southwest.
To prove that it’s serious, in late 2020 it appointed John Ramsay, who has previously worked at chains such as TGI Fridays, Marco’s Pizza, and Jack in the Box, as its first vice president of franchise sales.
Pivoting during the pandemic has been difficult for fast-casual restaurants because their food takes longer to prepare. Because Noodles’ dishes typically take between four and six minutes to cook, traditional drive-thru isn’t an option for the chain, Ramsay said.
Instead, Noodles ramped up its rollout of pickup sites during the pandemic, and this has helped it navigate the waves of bans on on-site dining. It also saw strong delivery sales, which it offers through a mix of both aggregators and its own app and website.
Its fourth-quarter digital sales more than doubled year over year and accounted for nearly two-thirds of all sales.

Chocolate Ice Cream Shake

Vanilla Ice Cream Shake
Despite falling in dead last on this list, Jack in the Box’s vanilla ice cream shake isn’t too bad. The texture is thick and creamy, but the flavor is oddly neutral. I expected it to taste like a rich vanilla ice cream, but it was actually a little lighter than what I’m used to. While the shake is totally drinkable and pretty tasty on its own, it’s kind of a blank slate that’s improved by the addition of other flavors.

Actually, there werent any nutritional facts on the Jack in the Box website right now so its hard for me to know if theyre healthy or not. This worries me because fast food joints have the ability to turn something healthy into something thats not, like salads and adults collecting kids meal toys. For all I know, this fast food smoothie might be the most unhealthiest thing on the face of the Earth and they deep fry the bastard when no one is looking. But what I do know for sure is that the Real Fruit Smoothies are made from Minute Maid fruit juice and non-fat frozen yogurt, which sounds somewhat healthy to me, but then again I believe I can get all my daily vegetable servings from eating a full sheet of carrot cake.
