Peak Performance Bone Broth + Collagen Protein

Cinnamon Apple Bone Broth Smoothie

Peak Performance makes a hybrid of bone broth and collagen peptides, which are chains of amino acids linked together.

These peptides are derived from the breakdown of collagen, the connective tissue that makes up tendons, joint capsules, and more. Because these are still a source of amino acids, the protein content of this protein powder is still quite high.

Its a good choice if you want to mix the high-dose protein benefits of bone broth with the potential connective tissue benefits of collagen protein.

Why You Should Put Bone Broth In Your Smoothies

This bone broth smoothie is packed with real-food collagen protein, greens, healthy fats, and fiber. It doesn’t get much better than this! You can devour this delicious smoothie in a bowl with toppings OR sip it through a straw

After two years of buying bone broth because its such a PAIN to make, I had to find a way to make it easier! bone broth protein powder. You might be thinking that Ive lost my mind by adding frozen bone broth cubes to a smoothie. Although the flavor disappears, you can also sub frozen bone broth for bone broth protein powder.

The final flavor of the broth smoothie will depend on the flavor of your broth. Carrot and Orange Bone Broth Smoothie. If you have children, this carrot and orange bone broth smoothie is a great way to get some broth-y goodness into their little bodies. Brodo’s Deep Purple Bone Broth Smoothie

Next up, I tried Brodo’s Deep Purple smoothie. In color, this beverage certainly lives up to its name as it has a beautifully vibrant hue akin to an eggplant.

This drink had an enjoyable flavor profile but if you’re not a big beet lover, this mix definitely isn’t for you. The earthy sweetness of the root vegetable was a bit overpowering, so much so that the broth flavor was completely masked yet again. This smoothie also contains blueberries and sweet cherries, which made this brothie taste more like a smoothie. I really liked the coconut in this mix, too, which lended a slightly tropical creaminess to the whole concoction. My recommendation for brothie makers at home? Use half a beet to tone down the root veggie-forward flavor, throw in some of your favorite leafy greens to kick up the nutrient profile and add a few extra berries, like raspberries, for flavor.

One 16-ounce serving of the Deep Purple has 12 grams of protein and 19 grams of sugar. It contains half of the fiber you need a day plus 11 percent of your daily recommended vitamin A intake. It also contains 23 percent of your daily recommended folate .

Brothies, you have my stamp of approval!

When considering purchase of a bone broth protein, always make sure that youre purchasing grass-fed. The tissues and fats of commercially raised livestock are saturated with inflammatory Omega 6s which can cause digestive issues, joint pain, and myriad other chronic conditions. In fact, the latest medical research links Alzheimers to chronic inflammation in the brain, often attributed to long-term consumption of alcohol, sugar, and commercially raised meat and dairy. Conversely, grass-fed protein is an excellent source of ANTI-inflammatory Omega 3’s which have been proven to support long-term brain health, and which minimize inflammation in the body. Low Carb Bone Broth Smoothie Bowl

Most smoothies and smoothie bowls merely sugar bombs masquerading as healthy. Since the blender is processing the fruits for you, they pass through your digestive tract quickly, releasing the sugars into your bloodstream.

What you think is good for you sends your blood sugar skyrocketing. Productivity wanes. Not good.

Im here to tell you it doesnt have to be like that. A few easy substitutions slow down digestion to make smoothie bowls nutrient dense and good for you.

Adding in frozen cauliflower and avocado gives you the texture and thickness in a smoothie bowl you crave, without the sugar coma.

Hot tip: slice a few avocados and freeze them in ziploc bags for your smoothie bowls. Canned pumpkin is a great substitute if you dont have avocados

The spinach adds in another serving of vegetables that you dont notice. Frozen spinach works great.

When combining these vegetables with protein from bone broth and healthy fats it will aid digestion, cause your body to slowly process it leaving you satisfied longer.

Smoothie bowls are dead easy to prepare. Just place all ingredients into your blender. Blend for 30-40 seconds, and youre ready to eat!

All of the main ingredients can be frozen ahead of time so you dont need to worry about things going bad in your fridge.
