Now its time to get the taste of the Caribbean in your home. You can do that by mixing a range of tropical fruits together. Now we start to get a little more adventurous from this point. Dont worry, though. These recipes arent hard to follow.

If youre worried about the cost, buying frozen is usually much cheaper. Youll get a larger packet, and they will last much longer. You dont need to worry about having fruit smoothies daily!

This is an excellent way to get all five portions of fruit in just one sitting.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of strawberries halved
  • 1 banana, chopped
  • 1/3 cup of orange juice
  • 5 ice cubes

Method:

  • Place everything in your blender and pulse until its all smooth and creamy

You can omit the banana if you want, but you may want to add a splash of milk or some yogurt. The fruit and orange juice alone wont be as creamy as many people like their smoothies.

This is one of those summery recipes that you can freeze in lolly pop molds with some sticks. Create your own smoothie ice pops to eat on a hot day!

Milk And Honey Smoothie

Make use of the celery in your produce drawer with this blended juice, which combines it with almond milk, cucumber, and grapes for a sip-worthy snack.

In a blender, combine 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk, 1 medium Kirby cucumber , 1 cup seedless green grapes, 2 medium stalks celery , and 1 Tbsp honey. Blend until the mixture is smooth, serves 2.

Nutrition : 124 calories, 2 g fat , 2 g protein, 26 g carbs , 21 g sugars

Banana Almond Protein Smoothie

Creamy almond butter offers healthy fats, while coconut water helps restore electrolytes after a tough workout. Greek yogurt and a scoop of whey keep the protein content high.

In a blender, add 1/2 cup coconut water, 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt, 3 Tbsp. almond butter, 1 scoop whey protein powder, 1 Tbsp. hemp seeds, 1 frozen banana, 1 cup ice. Process until smooth, serves 2.

Nutrition : 329 calories, 17 g fat, 21 g protein, 26 g carbs , 15 g sugars

I got a Blendtec just over 2 years ago, and I can never go back to a normal blender again. Mine tells me how many times Ive used it and Im a few smoothies away from 800 blends! Thats amazing, and it also shows how much I have used it. A good blender will whip you up a thick delicious smoothie with no chunks in about 45 seconds. If you are going to go green on any of your smoothies, a good blender is the key to getting all those healthy leafy greens to blend and have a great texture. Why Is My Smoothie Fluffy

Sometimes, foam may develop at the top of a smoothie. This foam is made out of insoluble fibers found in the skin of vegetables or fruits.

Here is what you can do:

  • Blend your smoothie at a very low speed for 10 to 20 seconds longer after you first notice the foam forming.
  • Stir the foam back into your smoothie with a long spoon
  • Pour the smoothie slowly into the cup, while using a spatula to hold back the foam thats in the blender.

If you dont want to deal with foam, you can use fruits and vegetables with soluble fibers, like bananas, peaches, pears, and mangoes. You can also use frozen fruits and vegetables as their icy consistency helps them from causing foam in your smoothie.

Another solution is adding in a healthy fat before blending that will bond with the insoluble fibers and combine better and more easily into the smoothie. For example, you can put coconut oil, avocado, or any nut butter.

The foam is not unhealthy, just not as pleasant to drink – so dont worry if some still slips by.
