    The best decision Iâve made to date has been asking for a Magic Bullet. My next door neighbors may not love the sound of my blender, but Iâm convinced the only reason I havenât developed a case of scurvy is because I make so many smoothies each week. Sure, you could eat all the ingredients in a smoothie separately and get the same benefits, but itâs just more fun when all the healthy things turn a fun color once blended together. Almond milk smoothie recipes are a favorite of mine. The dairy-free beverage has fewer calories and fat than regular milk, and it keeps in the fridge a lot longer.

    As a firm believer in the power of smoothies to combat the college cereal rut, Iâve rounded up 15 of my favorite almond milk smoothie recipes that are a bright spot on even the dreariest Monday morning. As a rule of thumb, Iâve tried to stick with some basic smoothie ingredients, because I know the struggle of having only half a mini fridge to stash your supplies in. Any other fun âextraâ ingredients are totally up to you and how your bank account is feeling.

    You can use old fashioned oats too. But, you might want to let the smoothie sit a bit after blending before drinking.

    Why Use Frozen Fruits In Smoothies

    Its so convenient!

    Most supermarkets sell frozen smoothie packs these days.

    Theres no need to wash or cut the fruits. Everything is done for you already. Its a huge timesaver!

    You wont even have to defrost the fruits before making smoothies. Just open the bag, add some to your blender and youre good.

    Just because its convenient doesnt mean its less healthy!

    Fruits are picked and frozen at peak ripeness. Studies show again and again that frozen fruits retain at least as many vitamins, minerals, as fresh fruits. Some fruits can even retain more vitamins when theyre frozen than when theyre bought fresh.

    Using more frozen fruits also means less spoilage.

    Frozen fruits are good for months, instead of just days. You can easily enjoy your favorite fruits at any time of the year.

    Using frozen fruits actually makes your smoothies taste better.

    Some people like to use ice cubes in their smoothies, I like using frozen fruits. A chilled smoothie simply tastes better, theres no question about it. Save the ice, and add some frozen fruits instead.

    How To Make A Smoothie Without A Blender

    If you dont have a blender, you can still make a delicious Greek Yogurt Smoothie. You will need to make sure that your fruit is nice and ripe, and not frozen. You can make it using the ingredients listed here using either a food processor or an immersion blender.

    You can also use an electric hand mixer to make your smoothie, but you would want to leave out the spinach as it wont properly incorporate. You can also use this same method using a fork to mash your fruit together with the almond milk in a bowl or mason jar, then add in the rest of the ingredients and mix together with a whisk.

    This three berry smoothie with almond milk is a delicious creamy combination of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries mixed with yogurt. A treat to your tastebuds!

    Smoothies are one of my favorite breakfasts, especially when Im in a hurry. Theyre quick and delicious, easy to bring with me, and a fantastic way to pack in the protein, fruits, and veggies first thing in the morning.

    We started on a smoothie kick a few years ago. While we had obviously had smoothies prior, it wasnt really a thing.

    But we went to Florida and came back ready to go smoothie crazy. After a handful of nights waking up to the infomercials about superfoods and crazy blenders, we came back excited to really get into smoothies.

    And equally excited to finally put our Ninja to use.

    One of our favorite smoothies to make is this three berry smoothie. Its a huge hit amongst the three of us. It is by far my favorite mixed berry smoothie recipe with yogurt and weve tried quite a few!)

    But the funny thing is, this berry smoothie with milk was first created from what we had left in the house. We didnt want things to go bad and our options were pretty limited as we had flown through all of our regular smoothie ingredients.

    So while this three berry smoothie came out of a little bit of desperation, its now in our regular rotation of quick smoothies because it was that good.

    How To Make A Fruit Smoothie

    To make this frozen fruit and yogurt smoothie, youll need frozen mixed berries , Silk Strawberry Dairy-Free Yogurt, and Silk Unsweetened Cashewmilk. Add the frozen fruit smoothie ingredients into a blender, but reserve half of the cashew milk.

    Blend the smoothie ingredients until smooth, and pour in the remaining cashew milk slowly until desired consistency is reached. For a thicker fruit and yogurt smoothie, add less cashew milk. And for a thinner smoothie, add a little more.

    This healthy fruit smoothie can be frozen for up to one month . When youre ready to enjoy the prepped smoothie, let it rest on the counter for 30 minutes before enjoying.

    • Strawberries: since were using frozen strawberries, we can skip the ice! If you only have fresh strawberries on hand, then simply wash, hull and dry strawberries. Freeze and use in place of already frozen strawberries.
    • Milk: pick your favorite milk! Wanna make an oat milk strawberry smoothie? Then use oat milk. Wanna make a strawberry soy smoothie? Use soy milk. Wanna make a strawberry almond milk smoothie? Oh, you know where Im going with this
