Before we got our own power blender, Matt would often skip out on breakfast satiating hunger with a flat white when he got into the office. You see, hes not a toast for breakfast type nor does he ever feel like cooked breakfast soon after rising. To be honest I, too, often took longer than planned to ponder about what to put on my plate in the morning.

Below is the 24 oz Tropical Green Smoothie that I purchased from Whole Foods for $5.95.It consisted of spinach, coconut water, banana, pineapple, and mango.I love getting smoothies from juice bars and markets when Im low on time and groceries, but sometimes I dont think their smoothies are thick enough for my liking and I drink them in a nanosecond. My recipe is a little bit thicker but to my knowledge, tastes exactly the same as theirs! If you like thick smoothies, you are in the right place! But if you like your smoothies a little thinner, no problem, just add some extra coconut water to this recipe!

Copycat Whole Foods Paleo Green Smoothie
My favorite green smoothie as of late this copycat Whole Foods Paleo Green Smoothie!
This Copycat Whole Foods Paleo Green Smoothie is my latest obsession.
If you follow me on youve seen me frequenting my local Whole Foods just to grab their Paleo Green Smoothie! Ive been obsessed with green smoothies this pregnancy and the Paleo Green takes the cake! But at $8 a pop I thought I better make this baby at home .
Plus, they tell you everything thats in it right on their menu board: coconut milk, banana, pineapple, spinach, kale, and almond butter! Thats it! I dont know what it is about it that I love so much- maybe the hint of pineapple and almond butter- but I could drink it every dang day.
And I have been, either every morning or afternoon now that Ive perfected my version of it! The only thing thats different is I added a scoop of my Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides! Ive only been using Vital Proteins for a week or so consistently, so Im excited to see how it helps my skin, joins, etc!
If youve had the Whole Foods Paleo Green and try this one, let me know if its just as good! Im pocketing that money I would be spending on smoothies and gonna save it for something else

How To Make A Green Smoothie:
One of my favorite things about smoothies is how QUICK & EASY they are to throw together! I do have ONE important trick for the perfect green smoothie though: BLEND your greens with liquid before adding in the remaining ingredients. You can see this in more detail in my video down below. By doing this, youre able to get the greens FULLY liquified so that you dont end up with weird chunks of leafy greens in your smoothie .
Ive found that when I add all of the ingredients in my blender at the same time then I often cant get the greens fully blended up. Especially if Im NOT using a high speed blender. This step takes basically no extra time but results in a MUCH creamier smoothie.
And then from there, I simply add the remaining ingredients and blend until creamy and smooth. If your blender gets stuck at any point, simply add in a little additional liquid, a few tablespoons at a time.
And thats it! Smoothies are so simple and SO SO GOOD!

While throwing together a smoothie is super quick and easy, I totally understand the need to plan ahead and streamline things as much as possible.
If youre wanting to prep your smoothies ahead of time, You can simply combine all of he ingredients MINUS the liquid in a resealable and place in the freezer until ready to use. Once youre ready to make your smoothie, you can simply dump the contents of the smoothie into a blender and then add you liquid.
Super easy and it really does make things go a little quicker in the morning!
