As the name suggests, this smoothie recipe is good for detox and to lose weight.
The most interesting ingredient is turmeric. Yup, this is the same ingredient that we use to spice our dishes.

Regardless of how much youve eaten, if your body is starved of nutrients it goes into survival mode and starts to store fat as a defence. A great way to get your body out of this viscous cycle is to start drinking smoothies. They are tasty, nutrient rich and a valuable addition to your diet.
Drinking tasty, healthy smoothies are a great way to start loosing weight. There are loads of recipes available specifically designed to keep you feeling full and satisfied while helping you fight the flab. Not only are these smoothie diet recipes delicious, they are also full of goodness and a great alternative snack for those of us with that uncontrollable sweet tooth.The only thing you need to start making great smoothies is a blender. They are cheap and easy to pick up.
Its always best to drink your smoothies when they are fresh, however, if you want to whip up a big batch and store some for later, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 12 hours. If storing, add a squeeze of lemon juice and store your drink in an airtight glass container. The vitamin c in the lemon juice will help prevent the oxidation that breaks the nutrients up.

I like to add the protein, collagen, Maca, and flax seeds to the blender and blend them into the weight loss smoothies. As for the chia and hemp seeds, both go well on top, or inside your healthy breakfast smoothies for weight loss.
Get creative with your add ins, as long as youre not adding in sugar or processed foods, youll likely be making good choices.

How To Meal Prep A Green Smoothie
One of the things I love about smoothies is how easy they are to meal prep in advance. You can just chop the fruit, wash the greens, portion them and place them in the freezer ready to blend whenever you fancy having a smoothie. I love to place the fruit in glass jars but I have to admit that getting the frozen chunks of fruit out can be a bit of a challenge if you are in a hurry.
To make your life easier, you can use reusable freezer bags, or just make sure your glass jar has a big opening. Plus leave it out of the freezer for 10-15 minutes before blending.
Once you are ready, just place the portioned ingredients in the blender, add your liquid and superfood adds-in.
If you use frozen greens and fruit, your smoothie will be much thicker to start with. I like it that way, especially in the summer. If you prefer a more liquid version, you can either add more liquid or let it rest for a few extra minutes before drinking it.
TIP OF THE DAY: When I am in a hurry, and its wintertime here, as much as I love meal prep, I really dont want to be drinking a frozen smoothie. So I place my blended green smoothie in the microwave for 30 seconds and voila! I have a perfect room-temperature delicious smoothie.

Breakfast Energy Smoothie Ingredients
To make this smoothie, you will need:
ORANGE JUICE: two cups of orange juice, you can use your favorite kind of orange juice.
YOGURT: 1 cup of yogurt, I always have a big tube of vanilla yogurt but you can use any flavored yogurt.
VANILLA EXTRACT: just a small 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla extract, it really helps to bring out the flavors in the fruit!
MIXED BERRIES: 2 cups of frozen or fresh mixed berries. I like to buy the frozen mixed berries but you can use any berries you like. Sometimes, I even add a banana.
ICE CUBES: if you dont use frozen fruit, I would add a handful of ice cubes.

Healthy Superfood Smoothie Recipes

I used to grab one for a healthy boost all the time when I was in my twenties not knowing that they were doing the opposite. Most store-bought smoothies use juice, way too much fruit and flavored yogurt. These ingredients can add up to your daily recommended sugar intake in just one drink! But the truth is that its much healthier and cheaper to make your smoothies at home.
Theres actually a simple trick that you can use to make healthier smoothies: Use less fruit, no fruit juices, and no flavored yogurt. Fruit juice are high in sugar and totally unnecessary for a smoothie.
