Freeze your watermelon pre-cut on parchment paper. If you freeze your cut watermelon on parchment paper flat, they won’t stick too bad and will be easier to add right to your blender! You can also add the frozen watermelon to a big bag for later if you have extras left over.
Let your watermelon and strawberries thaw for about 5 minutes before you start blending. Frozen fruit tends to be really hard as it is. But, watermelon has a super high water content so it is rock hard like ice cubes! Let it thaw for a couple of minutes so it will blend faster.
Don’t add too much liquid. It’s tempting to add more liquid when blending to make the blending go faster. But, you will just end up with a watery smoothie bowl. Take your time and keep blending! Either by using the tamper, or scraping down the sides every few minutes.
Chill your serving bowls in the freezer. Cold bowls mean the smoothie won’t melt as fast!

It will take literally 2 minutes to prepare this delicious smoothie with watermelon.
All you need is a ripe watermelon, freshly squeezed lime juice , ice cubes, and fresh mint leaves .
First, cut the watermelon into chunks.
I add the seeds too, as they have lots of vitamins and fiber, but you can remove them if you want, or buy a seedless watermelon.
I add a few ice cubes to make a kind of frozen watermelon smoothie, as I love the texture, but dont add too much ice as it could have too much water.
Another option is use frozen watermelon chunks so you dont have to use ice. I specially love this option and always use frozen fruit to make my breakfast smoothies.
Then, add the lime juice, and some fresh mint leaves if you like the flavor.
Blend it all together and serve immediately.

You can actually use either. While I recommend you use frozen banana to create that necessary smoothie creaminess, you can go with fresh watermelon and the smoothie will have a slightly thinner consistency, or freeze chunks of watermelon ahead of time to give the smoothie a much thicker consistency.
I like my smoothies on the thicker side, so I chose to freeze the watermelon and ended up with a great texture, but if you havent had a chance to freeze any watermelon, or want to skip that step, youll still get a great result!

This strawberry smoothie recipe is definitely one of my favorites, especially during the warmer months. Refreshing smoothies with strawberries are rich, creamy and bursting with the bright flavor of fresh strawberries.
I also add a banana to make a thick and milkshake-like consistency. Plus it adds another pop of healthy sweetness to the drink that is great to get your morning going!
When making a smoothie with bananas, I prefer to use coconut milk or almond milk. Using plant-based milks makes this a tasty vegan smoothie recipe, and is a bit easier on your stomach.
I have read that according to ayurveda, eating certain fruits and dairy milk together can create all kinds of digestion problems. For instance, banana and dairy tend to cause gut issues. However, I always find that beverages made with coconut milk or almond milk are lighter and easy to digest.
