This app is ok – at best. The main issue is receiving credit for your purchases. For the past few months, I have had to take a picture of my receipt and email it to Smoothie King to receive credit. Defeats the purpose of scanning your barcode at the store. If u decide to download this app, remember to save your receipts and take a pic of them. Once the points are credited by SK, it’s pretty simple to redeem for $7.00 off.

I downloaded this app after the big update. It has been great. On 3/20 I didn’t get my points. On my 3/21 visit the CSR said to save my receipt and contact Customer Service. My 3/21 points didn’t show so I contacted Customer Support via email. Luz added 2836 points to my app. Why am I showing to have 1334? I had 5498 when I contacted you. Is math in TX different than math in LA? 5498+2836= 8334.

Why does this a require a data connection to show a simple barcode Certain US carriers don’t have simultaneous voice & data, so end my call for a barcode? What if the network connection is weak/bad in that area? App on a wifi only tablet? Before the update this was a non issue

The app requires my phone number to login, doesn’t stay logged in, and crashes everytime I try to use LastPass to login. It’s a horrible experience! Also, I lost about 30,000 points that I had accumulated towards free smoothies! Not to mention that the app developer didn’t use material design. The Alert dialogs look like the belong on a Gingerbread phone.

The Evolution Of Smoothie King Rewards

Smoothie King realized the importance of a rewards program long before smartphones and apps were developed.

Some version of the rewards program has existed for the last 20 years, starting with punch cards. Guests would buy nine smoothies, and receive the 10thsmoothie free. In 2011, we began using a mobile app. We were one of the first in our industry to transition to a smartphone app for loyalty rewards. In 2017, we updated the app, and we updated it once more in December 2018 to its current form.

From a functionality standpoint, one of the biggest improvements has been to be able to scan once to earn, redeem and pay. Guests can use a pre-loaded amount that acts more like a debit card or they can upload credit card payment information and it will charge per transaction.

Theres also a VIP tier for guests who come most frequently, and theyll earn their rewards point at a 25-percent bonus rate.

Early in 2019, were looking to add online ordering functionality with the Healthy Rewards app. Guests will be able to customizes their smoothies, order ahead and pay ahead allowing them to get their drink as quickly and efficiently as possible.

How Do I Unlock My Existing Rewards To Be Redeemed

I wonder if openers could have the ability to switch on the app when they are ready to start taking orders. Ive found out the hard way that you can order and pay ahead and then show up to a closed store. Smoothie King wont refund in these situations so you go on to purchase another breakfast somewhere else, double dipping your emergency breakfast fund and putting you behind schedule. Then you have to go back another time and explain the situation and find proof that you ordered them, totally putting the burden on the customer because someone didnt show up for their shift a week ago. I gave 3 stars bc it is super convenient when it works AND when the employees unlock the door so you can come in and pick up your online order rather than waiting in the car line as if you didnt order ahead.
