Apple Banana & Oat Smoothie Recipe

How To Make Strawberry Banana And Apple Smoothie

This apple, banana, & oat smoothie is thick, creamy, fruity, and quick to make for a delicious breakfast treat.

I love healthy smoothies whether it is in the morning, noon, or night but especially for breakfast.

I also really like to have them before I work out because they are great for energy or sometimes even for lunch.

I got lucky to have a kid who loves fruits and vegetables. Crazy right?!

However, I know there are tons of moms who fight their kids to eat anything that looks like a fruit, smells like a vegetable or the color green.

The struggle is real folks!

There is also one other thing I know and it is that kids love ice cream and sweet stuff.

We dont have to tell them that the sweet and creamy stuff is really just a bunch of fruits or vegetables blended up.

So if you are looking for a way to add fruits or veggies into your kids diet then having a creamy and delicious smoothie is definitely the way to go.

One of my favorite recipes is this apple, banana, & oat smoothie.

How To Store Leftover Apple Smoothies

As this apple smoothie recipe makes 2 servings, you can store your leftovers in the fridge in an airtight jar or you can freeze it for later! Just thaw it overnight in the fridge and give it a shake to combine it again. If you are freezing it, make sure you can freezing it in a freezer-safe container as plastic can crack in the freezer.

A plain smoothie is also the perfect remedy to a busy weekend. We attended a local food bloggers meetup and it was simply fantastic meeting all the amazing people behind great blogs we read daily. So many amazing talents!

So while we think about all the great stuff we learnt and think of ways to better our blog, we charge our batteries with food, of course While its still autumn, we are getting the first whiffs of winter and cold and snow and while we do not particularly like that, we do anticipate winter comfort foods and spices in the upcoming festive month

Can You Turn This Into An Apple Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are a thicker smoothie thats transferred to a bowl and topped with ingredients.

Its super easy to turn this smoothie into an apple smoothie bowl! Follow the same recipe, but freeze your apples along with your banana the night before. Youll also use half the milk so instead of adding 1/2 cup of milk, use 1/4 cup of milk for the smoothie bowl version.

The best part about a smoothie bowl is adding over toppings. For this bowl, try topping with sliced apples, pecans, and quinoa crunch granola. Try these 20+ other healthy smoothie bowl recipes too.

How To Make A Pineapple/apple/banana Smoothie

Have out your whole milk, pre chopped pineapple, one apple, Greek yogurt, and a banana. My banana is over ripened, but it doesn’t matter for what we’re making because it will taste the same.

Chop up the apple, the pieces can be as big as you want them. But unless you want blended-up apple seeds in your smoothie I do suggest that you cut it.

Measure out a little over a 1/4 cup of pineapple. You can add a little more if you’d like.

Add all fruit to the blender

Measure out yogurt and milk and put into blender as well

    Blend on high until smooth

Pour and enjoy!!! Thank you for checking out my guide- I hope you found it helpful 🙂

Recipe Tips And Ideas For Apple Smoothies

Follow these tips and you’ll have a perfect apple smoothie every time!

    • Add some greens to the smoothie for even more nutrition. Spinach hides really well in smoothies. It might change the color but it doesn’t add much flavor or texture, so you barely notice it.
    • Top it with a swirl of sugar-free caramel syrup! This will taste like a caramel apple.
    • Experiment with different fruits. Try adding in some of your favorite frozen berries to make a different kind of pie smoothie. So instead of applesauce, add some strawberries and blueberries.
    • Make sure not to use sweetened applesauce. This will make the smoothie taste much too sweet .

    The Best Blender For Smoothies

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST Mango Banana Pineapple Apple Smoothie

My go-to blender for smoothies would be my Vitamix and its the the one item in my kitchen that gets used every single day as its a go-to tool in my kitchen. I use the Vitamix to make smoothies, my low-carb blueberry muffins, my mashed cauliflower, and lots of soups with it as well.

More individual smoothies, I love my NutriBullet as I can blend up just one single smoothie then easily wash up after. Both blenders are great and Id recommend them if youre looking for a new blender.

    Health Benefits Of Bananas

Bananas are a leading source of vital nutrients like potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C. Potassium helps moderate blood pressure and support a healthy heart. Vitamin B6, on the other hand, plays an essential role in helping your body metabolize macronutrients like protein, fat, and carbohydrates.

The vitamin is also tied to a reduced risk of mental health disorders, including depression and anxiety. Because the human body cannot produce vitamin B6 on its own, its more important to eat a diet rich in this vital nutrient. The banana in this smoothie offers a third of your recommended daily intake of vitamin B6.

The high amount of vitamin C in bananas , is also beneficial for skin and immune health. Vitamin C is essential for a high-functioning immune system, which wards off illness and other foreign threats. It also supports collagen production, which keeps your skin elastic and your joints moving easily.

Do You Need To Peel Apples For A Smoothie

this really comes down to preference and the power of your blender. If you have a high powered blender, like a Vitamix, then you can leave the apple peel on. Just make sure to wash it well.

If you prefer the apple without skin or have a weaker blender, it’s best to peel it first for a creamier smoothie.

How to make banana, apple and orange smoothie

Like all of my other recipes, this smoothie is completely customizable. You get to choose what apples and spices you want to use.

For the apples, I recommend using any variety of red apples since they are sweeter. You can find fresh apples in the produce section of the grocery store or at your local farmers market.

For the spices, there are a number of lovely fall-inspired ones. Feel free to mix it up with whatever you like best. Cinnamon is a classic option, however there are also spice blends you can use such as chai spice, pumpkin pie spice, or apple pie spice. You can find these spice blends online, in the spices aisle at the grocery store, your local spice shop, or make them yourself.

    Apple Banana Smoothie Ingredients

Making this delicious apple banana combo requires just a few ingredients that are healthy and easily available. Heres what youll need:

    • A ripe banana preferably frozen for a smooth creamy texture. But if you dont have a frozen one, by all means, use a fresh banana instead. Just add some ice to compensate.
    • A fresh apple I used a Gala apple but you can also use Granny Smith or Red Delicious. They all work fine for this recipe.
    • I prefer using organic apples to avoid any traces of pesticides. This is particularly recommended if you choose to leave the peel for more fiber and nutrients.
    • Otherwise, just wash the apples well and peel them before using. Especially if you dont like pieces of apple skin in your smoothie.
    • Milk I used almond milk for a dairy free option. But any other milk would work here and will give you a delicious result. Also, milk can be swapped with yogurt for a richer smoothie.
    • Hemp seeds optional. Added for a nutrition boost and extra protein.
    • Ice cubes optional. If you are using frozen banana, then you want to skip adding ice to the smoothie.

Start Your Day With This Delicious Frozen Mango Apple Banana Smoothie Recipe

This mango apple banana smoothie has got to be our favourite and easiest smoothie recipe. I make one for my daughters breakfast nearly every day.

We used to have a B& B business and offer fresh fruit for our guests for breakfast.

However, after a day or two, some of the fruit would lose its new appearance and would be no longer fit to offer to guests, especially the bananas.

So this was a great way to use up the still perfectly good fruit, so it did not go to waste, and provide a healthy breakfast for some lucky person.

We also used up any fruit juice that may be leftover from the guests so we can get a slightly different taste every day if we want. Sometimes we may use apple juice, sometimes orange juice or sometimes even apple and mango juice whatever we have available to use.

All fruit juices have health benefits as well as being delicious.

Even though we closed our B& B business back in 2019, we still make these smoothies for breakfast or as a healthy snack during the day.

    Kale Apple & Banana Smoothie

How to make a Delicious Apple and Banana Smoothie! Quick and Easy!

Kale, Apple, and Banana Smoothie the perfect healthy breakfast or snack, and so easy to blend together! If you think you dont like green smoothies, this one will change your mind! Its so good!

If you indulged a bit much over the holidays like I know I did, this Kale, Apple, and Banana Smoothie is the perfect way to kick start your day in a healthy way!

Kale is a superfood and has become pretty popular lately. Id say thats a good thing, though, as anything that gets people eating healthier is a winner in my book.

Ive been making green smoothies for awhile now, but have always chosen spinach since it has a milder taste. Then I did a little reading and learned that switching up your greens is actually recommended to prevent alkaloid buildup. You can read about it here, if youre interested. I decided it was time to try some new greens, and kale has been my ingredient of choice ever since!

This Kale, Apple, and Banana Smoothie is my favorite smoothie, and I make it a few times a week for breakfast. I like to chop up some bananas and keep them in the freezer to use for smoothies because they make them nice and cold, and also lend a creamy texture. Smoothies are so versatile, and you can use whatever ingredients appeal to you. Sometimes I use coconut water in place of the orange juice, or throw in some pineapple instead of the apple. Its all up to you! And the orange juice does a great job of masking the kale if youre concerned about its taste!

    Health Benefits Of Cinnamon

The final ingredient in your Apple Banana Smoothie, cinnamon, is a small but mighty addition. Cinnamon is high in polyphenol antioxidants, which fight cancer- and disease-causing free radicals in the body.

In addition, this warming spice is a natural anti-inflammatory agent. While inflammation can cause and exacerbate chronic diseases, cinnamon has a calming effect that reduces unnecessary or autoimmune inflammatory responses.

And finally, studies show that cinnamon can reduce the risk of heart disease by lowering total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, without an effect on good HDL cholesterol.
