    I wouldnt freeze the pre-made smoothies. When you re-thaw then they tend to separate and get weird and frothy. You can put all of your ingredients into a ziploc bag and freeze that so all you have to do is throw it in a blender and add a liquid.

    The Nutritional Profile Of These Weight Loss Smoothies

    To make sure we included only the healthiest smoothies, the recipes had to meet a strict nutritional criteria:

    Each of these smoothies has less than 15g overall fat, including less than 5g saturated and at least 5g of fibre.

    Look no further weve got you covered.

    Healthy smoothies are a perfect addition to your diet if you are seeking weight loss and creating a healthier eating pattern.

    Theyre easy, filling, and full of great nutrients like fiber and antioxidants. Did I mention theyre delicious?

    But not all smoothies are created equal.

    Many store-bought smoothies are loaded with added sugars and saturated fats, which semi-defeats the purpose of drinking one for the proposed health benefits.

    Take Smoothie King for example.

    For years I assumed all their recipes were healthy until I saw the nutrition facts.

    Their Hulk Strawberry contains 73 grams of added sugar, 16 grams of saturated fat, and a total of 850 calories. Thats just for the smallest size !

    While this smoothie does contain fiber and vitamins, it also contains butter pecan ice cream, which is packed with added sugar.

    Although it is advertised as a Fitness Blend, if you drink this regularly, in addition to a normal diet, and arent a hardcore athlete, it will most likely cause weight gain.

    Anyways, 73 grams of added sugar is above the amount recommended by the Dietary Guidelines .

    Needless to say, these are generally not the best smoothies for weight loss.

    The best way to make sure yours are healthy is to make them yourself.

    A deliciously healthful smoothie contains healthy fats like omega-3 fatty acids, protein, carbohydrates , vitamins, and minerals.
