A Delicious Macro Friendly Treat
I love making this shake because I have quite the sweet tooth! Most nights, at the end of a busy day, I am craving a treat! This Oatmeal Cookie shake hits the spot! I love making it with chocolate and vanilla protein! Both are delicious. I also love it because its macro friendly! For instance, this shake has only 350 calories, with 30 grams of protein!
My next tip is that I always serve it in a cold tumbler! I love that it makes it feel like a decedent milk shake and I always have one on hand.
Top Tips For Making High
Save Time. Making smoothies is already a quick and easy process, but you can trim down the time even more by making ready-to-blend smoothie packs. Place all of your pre-measured ingredients in containers, like Mason jars or plastic bags, and store them in the fridge for up to 3 days or the freezer for up to 3 months. When you’re ready to blend, just defrost if you like and mix. If you use a jar, it doubles as your drinking glass. You can also blend smoothies and freeze them in ice cub trays. When you’re ready, let the cubes defrost in a glass until they’re the perfect consistency.
Punch Up the Protein. Protein powder is an easy add-in, but there are many other options. You can boost your protein count with milk, or add a few tablespoons of nut butter, yogurt, or cottage cheese .
Keep it Healthy. When you buy smoothies at the store or gym, they can be overloaded with extra sugar, carbohydrates, and unhealthy fats. By making your own smoothies, you can control exactly what and how much lands in the blender. When reaching for milk alternatives, make sure to choose the unsweetened varieties. If you need a touch of sweetness, try stevia or honey instead of sugar. Adding healthy fats, like avocado, makes your drinks extra rich and smooth.
Swap It Out. It’s super easy to make any smoothie vegan. Swap out cow’s milk for non-dairy alternatives like almond, coconut, or soy, or use tofu or avocado in place of dairy yogurt.

Strawberry Banana Protein Shake
This blog post is sponsored by Premier Protein.
Since Im not a traditional breakfast person, sipping on this strawberry banana protein smoothie is the perfect way to rev up my engine for the day without having to chew. Its a great start to a morning!
Sneaking some extra protein into your diet through protein powder also helps fuel your body and keep it full longer, so youre not as likely to be tempted to reach for unhealthy choices.
Youre probably wondering what kind of protein powder I used, so Ill solve the mystery for ya. Im using Premier Proteins Whey Powder because it has zero artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners .
The facts: 30g 100% whey protein, 180 calories and 3 g of sugar.
Premier Proteins Whey Powder comes in two flavors: Chocolate Milkshake and Vanilla Milkshake and it can be mixed with water or milk, so its perfect for blending into this delightful strawberry banana protein shake. I also suggest trying it mixed in with a bowl of oatmeal or even baked into a protein-packed recipe.
To make this strawberry banana protein shake, I like to use frozen fruit since it will give a nice thick, frosty texture to the drink. Strawberries always taste great in smoothies and a banana provides healthy carbs and potassium.
Tip: Save your overly ripe bananas. Peel them and pop them in a freezer bag to have on hand whenever you want to make a protein shake.

What Can I Add To My Protein Shake To Gain Weight
To gain weight by drinking protein shakes, add ingredients like avocado, nut butter, healthy oils like coconut oil, and extra protein sources like oats. Make sure you have a full-fat milk in there such as dairy milk or coconut milk.
Almond and cashew milk are good for adding in calories, too.
Have 2-3 small protein shakes a day and be sure to focus on healthy foods like whole grains and lean proteins for extra muscle-building power.
Stay away from processed foods they will not help you gain weight in a healthy way. Instead, they can lead to inflammation.
Tips For Making Breakfast Smoothies
The key to making a quick and easy breakfast smoothie recipe is to keep bags of frozen fruit in your freezer. I buy them in bulk from the grocery store and switch out the flavors, depending on my mood. You can also add fresh spinach in if you want to boost your veggie intake for the day.
This tropical sunrise high protein breakfast smoothie recipe really looks impressive because you layer two different flavors. It is not at all complicated, though, and tastes delicious! Want a pretty green layer? Try making an avocado smoothie and layer that in!

Top 6 Keto Smoothie Recipes
Smoothies are creamy beverages made with pureed fruits and vegetables. To achieve that creamy texture, most traditional smoothies contain a source of dairy, such as milk or ice cream.
Unfortunately, both milk and conventional ice cream contain a lot of sugar. Thats why you shouldnt use regular dairy in low-carb smoothies. Also, milk sugar isnt the only reason why you should avoid dairy. Casein, one of the milks proteins, is highly inflammatory and can wreak havoc on your gut.
You can learn more about the inflammatory properties of certain milk proteins here.
Fortunately, there are plenty of keto-friendly alternatives to regular milk, including heavy cream or coconut milk. The latter is my personal favorite because it adds a creamy texture and its compatible with my Paleolithic lifestyle.
