Almost, but not quite, Banana Pudding in a cup sans the wafers. Its low sugar, so that makes me love it even more. Smoothies are creamy beverages made with pureed fruits and vegetables. To achieve that creamy texture, most traditional smoothies contain a source of dairy, such as milk or ice cream.

Unfortunately, both milk and conventional ice cream contain a lot of sugar. Thats why you shouldnt use regular dairy in low-carb smoothies. Also, milk sugar isnt the only reason why you should avoid dairy. Casein, one of the milks proteins, is highly inflammatory and can wreak havoc on your gut.

Fortunately, there are plenty of keto-friendly alternatives to regular milk, including heavy cream or coconut milk. The latter is my personal favorite because it adds a creamy texture and its compatible with my Paleolithic lifestyle.

Directions For The Cheesecake Bites

  • Place the softened cream cheese and Stevia into a bowl.
  • Using a hand mixer on low speed, start creaming them together.
  • As the mixture becomes softer, you can increase the speed to medium to high using a spatula to push any mixture on the sides down into the bowl.
  • Add the Premier ProteinĀ® Cookies & Cream Protein Shake into the mixture with a handheld mixer on low and blend until smooth.
  • Place a medium saucepan on the stove and bring the Ā½ cup of water to boil.
  • When the water has reached a boiling point, remove from the heat and pour in the two packets of unflavored gelatin into the water and stir until the contents are thoroughly dissolved.
